Business and Education Partnerships in Louisiana

• Council for a Better Louisiana
  A nonpartisan, statewide nonprofit organization, CABL's mission is to make Louisiana a stronger and better place. Its board is comprised almost entirely of business leaders. Education is a major focus; CABL provides information via publications and presentations to education and opinion leaders throughout the state. CABL members participate in many policymaking task forces, including the Governor's Commission to Redesign High Schools and School Accountability Commission.

• Louisiana Association of Business and Industry
  LABI is the largest business lobbying group in Louisiana, with over 4,000 business members. It is the state affiliate for the Chamber of Commerce. The Education and Workforce Development Council is one component of the organization's legislative agenda.
